Josh & I went to my ob checkup this morning. I am happy to report that all is well. It looks like I actually lost weight my first trimester, which is apparently common. We also heard the heartbeat.
My next appointment is scheduled for the first week of July. This is when they will do the triple screen test (it helps indicate if the baby has spina bifida, down syndrome or Trisomy 18). This test makes me a little nervous as this is the test that first indicated something was wrong in my first pregnancy. I tested for a high possibility that Will had Trisomy 18. The nurse tried to assure me that I had my dates wrong, but when we did the follow-up ultrasound, Will's abnormalities came to light. Everyone was so sure he had Trisomy 18, but they needed the amniocentesis to verify. For 10 days I waited in agony for the results. Luckily, his chromosomes were normal. So, you can see why I am anxiously awaiting this test... or any test for that matter.
My ob's office is also in the process of scheduling an appointment with the maternal fetal specialists for the 3D ultrasound. They are going to schedule this two weeks after my next ob appointment, so it will be around mid-July. This will also be a trying experience. We are very nervous.

I have had you in my thoughts often. I am glad everything seems to be going okay this time. I am certain that God has a plan for this child!
Also how did you appointment that was in early July go? And when is the appointment that should be in mid-July?
